CMA CGM Extends its Black Pearl Service to Latin America

"With these additional calls to Cartagena and Puerto Cabello, CMA CGM will provide its US East Coast and Canadian customers with efficient transport solutions and most competitive transit times to support the development of their activities on the growing markets of Colombia and Venezuela"

Marseilles, July 9th, 2010 -- The CMA CGM Group is pleased to announce the introduction of two new calls in Cartagena (Colombia) and Puerto Cabello (Venezuela) on its BLACK PEARL service linking North America to Jamaica (Kingston).

Effective from July 16th on a weekly basis, these new calls will provide:

- New opportunities to the Colombian and Venezuelan markets for CMA CGM’s US East Coast and Canadian customers,

- The fastest transit times of the trade between East Coast North America and Colombia/Venezuela (New York -- Puerto Cabello, 14 days and Halifax -- Cartagena, 8 days).

In response to the growing demand on this trade, CMA CGM will provide an homogeneous fleet of 4 X 1,300 TEU vessels.

BLACK PEARL new rotation will be as follows:
New York -- Halifax -- Kingston SB -- Cartagena -- Puerto Cabello -- Kingston NB back to New York.
