B.O.S. Better Online Solutions Completes RFID-Enabled Production Line Tracking System for Hollandia International

Hollandia's production plant, located in Sderot, Israel, is now equipped with BOS' RFID technology to track the manufacturing of mattresses and sleep systems, from the delivery of raw materials to the final product.

RISHON LETZION, Israel, July 6, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- B.O.S. Better Online Solutions Ltd. ("BOS") (Nasdaq:BOSC) today announced the successful implementation and delivery of an RFID-enabled production line tracking system for Hollandia International, developer of PLATINUM-LUXE(TM) Advanced Sleep Systems. The Sleep System includes a Hollandia latex mattress and an innovative adjustable base.

Hollandia's production plant, located in Sderot, Israel, is now equipped with BOS' RFID technology to track the manufacturing of mattresses and sleep systems, from the delivery of raw materials to the final product. The system is based on the BOS ID software platform and BOS RFID Server, and includes Gen2 RFID inlays from UPM Raflatac, and Intermec's CN3 mobile terminals and its IP30 RFID reader.

The BOS production line tracking system has also optimized Hollandia's inventory counting, and links in with Hollandia's ERP system. Hollandia decided to utilize RFID technology because its mattresses must be wrapped in nylon from the beginning of the production line, and bar codes could not be read through the nylon.

"We are very pleased with the BOS RFID system," said Guy Zecharia, project manager of Hollandia. "Within a few short weeks of going live, we have gained greater visibility into our manufacturing processes. We may expand our use of RFID technologies for additional applications, both within Israel and internationally."

"We are pleased that RFID as a next-generation data collection technology is starting to take hold in Israel," said Yuval Viner, BOS CEO. "The Hollandia project is another example of BOS' integrated approach in bringing innovative RFID solutions to the market."
