Agility Wins Major Logistics Contract from RasGas

Multi-million dollar deal awarded

Doha, Qatar 8 September 2009: Agility, a leading global provider of integrated logistics solutions, has been awarded a major new contact in Qatar by RasGas, the country’s premier liquefied natural gas (LNG) enterprise. The scope of the multi-million dollar contract comprises global freight forwarding, transportation and customs clearance for a period of four years, both locally and around the world.

Commenting on behalf of Agility, Elias Monem, CEO Middle East and North Africa, said: "Qatar is crucially important to the growth of Agility in the region and this deal represents an important milestone in our company’s 6 year history locally. During this time we have invested substantial sums in Qatar to ensure that our global reach and local capabilities match to deliver unparalleled standards of service for important clients such as RasGas."

Apart from operating a worldwide network of 550 offices in 120 territories, Agility brings a wealth of local resources to RasGas in Qatar, such as more than a million square meters of warehousing and storage, over 1,000 staff and a fleet of 300 vehicles.

Agility provides unique supply chain solutions and logistics services that support upstream (O&G exploration phase and crude oil), midstream (gas-related) and downstream (refined/finished products). Abiding to HSE (health, safety, and environment) accreditations, we are ISO 14001 and 9001 plus OHSAS 18001 certified."

RasGas Company Limited is owned by Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil RasGas Inc. It operates production facilities to treat, liquefy and export LNG to countries across Asia, Europe and USA. Based in Ras Laffan, Qatar, RasGas currently produces over 20 million metric tonnes of LNG per year (Mta) with five trains in operation. It is expected that this production will be approximately 37 Mta by the end of the decade, with the completion of seven operational trains.
